You Are Unemployable Because…
Have you ever sat down to ask yourself this question? Ok, lets pause for a moment if you are reading this and you have been hunting for a job for a while now. How unemployable are you?
Am sure you have never given it much serious thought right? That’s one of the reasons why you are not unemployable. Now don’t get me wrong or conclude that am following the norms and newspaper reports. Be it far from it. Follow me on this “short” journey.
We have different people in the job hunting market. University Graduates, Doctorate graduates, different school drop-outs, “Job drop-outs”, “wrong job drop outs” and etc. And the singular question all these people ask is “Why me?”
Now, am not going to bore you with all the statistical details of unemployment and why youths are not employed. The information is on the open market for all and with Election coming up next month, promise galore on the job opportunities to be provided. But we ar yet to see the actionable plans to that effect save from one candidate and it’s yet to be explicitly clear.
Thankful
Yes!!! It’s the year 2015 AD!!! Am I not grateful for seeing 2014 to the end and the start of 2015? I am indeed very grateful and thankful to God.
2014 is a year that is full of abundant testimonies for me. And mark me, it ain’t the regular conventional testimonies of the motley type.
Am grateful for increase knowledge of God, his will and purpose on earth and what he expects of me. I have come to realize that, God is not “interested” in what we want to do or what we think he wants us to do or the purpose we want to achieve as long as he is not the objective and the sole purpose of it.(Click here to continue reading)

Long Walk Ahead
“May your road be rough!” Those were the words of a man i respect so highly, in person of the foremost educationalist, the late Dr. Tai Solarin. Back then in Mayflower School, we use to think the man was nuts for cursing us in such manner. But years have passed, we have grown wiser and come to see the wisdom and deep insight in those words of his and seen the practical reality in our lives…in my life……. In the Eye of the Storm…..
Most times in life, we are battered by storms…some minor some major and with varying consequences.
The degree to which we hold on most matters and the extent to which we understand the storms can help us weather through it even though it can be an harrowing experience.
In the real sense of a storm, it can really be terrifying when winds in excess of 200mph is racing through your neighborhood, tearing it apart and you are scared frozen not knowing what to expect. Well, for those of us in Africa and West Africa, we may not really be able to appreciate the extent of this storm in real life since we are off the grid-lines that produces it hence much more sheltered. But for folks in US and Europe, its not a tale you want to feature in……..(click here to read more)

Never Stop Dreaming…..Conclusion
- First Failure is not the last failure: They were called losers simply because they seem not to fit into the mould. They just seem to be staring at failure all around, but they still kept at it, pushing towards their dreams.
- Take Ridicule in stride: They were ridiculed by friends for not achieving their dreams. The football Pro wannabe was hit the most because he was totally off his own dream. His friend was still in a gaming software company so moreorless on track though very far from the mark. They try to suck it in and maintain a clear head and did a candid reappraisal of their situation.
- Have Fun, Joke about it: They had mad fun. They played practical jokes of been real cops along the way by pure accident. Went to a mask party in a costume thinking it was a costume party. And along the way of playing cops, took a big revenge against some gangsters that crushed their car. And also got into places they would not have dreamed of getting into. And they partied as “cops”!
- Don’t overplay: Yes, you read right, they overplayed up to the point of almost getting killed “in the line of duty” as cops. Always remember where you are coming from and where you are going to. Yes, take time off to break off the pressure of pursuing your dreams, but don’t always let down your guard to the point of complacency.
- Dreams are not cast in Stone: If you need to have another dream, dream it. One of the friends discovered his passion for Police investigation, and made a volte face on his dreams of football Pro and switched to Policing where he graduated with honours in his class and with high recommendation.
- Be Bold with your dreams: The software gamer had been the butt of office jokes for his “poor ideas” and in particular for the game he had been trying to push until fortune smiled on him and there was a practical demonstration of his dreams. Firstly, he took the bull by the horns by confronting his team leader who had always hit on him and he began to present his dreams with a passion never seen before and one after the other they agreed and voted for his own game against the game they had been trying too hard to push into implementation.
- Your dream is not about you but about others: For these two friends, their dreams was about service to others and not about they themselves. The Police officer, the Game Builder, both was a passion dedicated to help other people. What is the thrust of your dream? Is it about you or about service to others.
Do have a fantastic Day!!!
Never Stop Dreaming
Several times we have dreams locked in our hearts, that we rarely let out. Dreams penned down and locked up in folders, lockers whatever it is. Most times, the dreams see the light of the day…other times..they seldom see beyond the crack of dawn.
I watched a movie couple of days ago titled “Let’s be cops”” and it was really an hilarious movie. I learnt quite some lessons in the movie which i would like to share below;
- Always Dream big dreams; The two friends always dreamed of been really extremely wealthy. One dream of been a huge game software giant. While the other, dreamed of going Pro in football.
- Don’t be afraid to change location; The two friends left there home and family and relocated to another town in pursuit of thier dreams. And relocating does not come cheap. It means leaving your family, leaving familiar territory for an unfamiliar one. Leaving your comfort zone to a zone of anguish and log suffering. And the truth is, it pays out in the end..will come to that later.
- Don’t be afraid to test Waters: One of them got a job in a gaming software company where he became the underdog, learning the ropes and contributing to he company. The other tried to be a football coach to young adults, and also tried to maintain his home……To Be Continued.
