Most times, we approach Monday with a dread, a foreboding of, “Oh God! Its Monday again!” And we get up grudgingly from that cozy bed and wish the weekend could be longer. And as we think of our deliverables and schedules, we shudder and groan inwardly, and we feel faint and tired, and we march on, like weary soldiers, under the orders of a Quartermaster-General Monday
Have you ever sat down to ponder, what would happen to you as a parent right now in another couple of years?
Have you ever wondered, woken up in bed, deep in thought, about the future of your kids, your family?
The first emergency call came in 10:46pm that fateful Saturday night of April 1st 2017. And from then till 4am, it was a bedlam of activities, flurry of running feet, wails of agitated bystanders, shouts of confusion and a subdued silence.
“Your Majesty, i just uncovered a plot by some disgruntled elements to destabilize your coronation by abducting you and killing you. As we speak they are finalizing the plans and i have proof to show how advanced, the plan has gone.” Le Coquin then presented to the King-in-waiting the communication and handwritten notes of Verstockt that he had stolen from his house. Immediately, the King summoned High Chief Metomofin, who in turn convened an emergency Council meeting were it was resolved that the matter be quelled at once by sending the King’s Guards to effect the arrest of the Traitors and the matter nipped in the bud before the coronation day so that it sends a strong warning to anyone who could be contemplating it. “Le Coquin, am doomed! I can’t hear with my left ear again! To be stung by a bee is a headache in its own. but to be deaf in one ear is a death sentence! How can I ever be King?! And I have no problem with all these! They are “noble” wants as they are!
But have you ever paused to ask, “What does God wants?” Continue reading
Several times, I have sat and thought long and hard over what to write. I have stories popping into my head and I try as hard as possible to see how I could flesh it up and be able to present it to my audience.
