Demagogue of Evil
Its quite interesting the cultural bias and the chauvinistic way our so called law makers shot down the Gender Equality bill introduced on the floor of the house.
While I don’t have the full details of the bill, I feel the argument to reject the bill should be more intelligent than belligerent, emotional and tactless argument based on culture and tradition.

According to a 2005 World Tourism Organisation report, 7,518,000 tourist visited South Africa alone, second only to Egypt with 8,244,000 tourists. This tells me that, concerted efforts has gone into making this a revenue and profit center for the South African Community, whether black or white.

While its on record of the Anglo-Boer war of the 19th Century and prelude to that, the revolt to the Dutch Republic and the establishment of a separate republic in the Southern Africa, its worthy to note that the discovery of diamonds in 1867 and gold in 1884 in the interior started the Mineral Revolution and increased economic growth and immigration. This intensified the European-South African efforts to gain control over the indigenous peoples. The struggle to control these important economic resources was a factor in relations between Europeans and the indigenous population and also between the Boers and the British. This utmostly defined the relationship between all the parties concerned and began the process of establishing independence and the creation of Union of South Africa on 31 May 1910. Continue reading

In the last couple of weeks especially last week, the social media was awashed with news from South Africa, of white folks in South Africa calling Black folks monkeys and claiming Blacks were let into South Africa and they are trying to take over everywhere or that it was the white folks that owned South Africa.
Am really not surprised by this, going by the events occurring in United States of Blacks been killed extra judicially by people who are meant to protect the people, the Police, and the start of the movement #Black lives Matter.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn’t always fair and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). Continue reading
The Era of Trust and Integrity
Finally, 2016 has commenced officially world over. And we all have our goals set for the year, and our aspirations for the country and our personal lives. Nonetheless, i would like to start by referring to the events in the country in the last couple of weeks that has left much of a bitter taste in the mouth. And whether we like it or not, we need to evaluate the past to learn and make amends for the future.
Our Children are Dying!
I have watched with abject dismay, the state of cultural and moral degradation that now permeates our society and imbibed in our children.
More often than not, we have allowed this quite unconsciously, and a times with deliberate intention to give our children the best out of life, allowed a slip, a never ending slip that we may or may not recover from.

I remember exactly ten years ago, i woke up from a terrible nightmare. I remember getting up from my bed and heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast and head out for lectures when the call came in that what time will i arrive at OOUTH. That’s when the reality hit me with the force of a sledge hammer banging a nail into a concrete wall!
