Governance in Nigeria has been acrimonious and caustic as it can get compared to other Federating Nations of the earth.
Its been more of entitlement, appeasement and access to the cookie jar. But for how long can this last? Is there no solution in sight towards it?

A friend brought her 1 yr old daughter along to the office. Quite a lovely bright girl that i love dearly. And something interesting happened during course of the day. I think the little girl said something in her mother tongue, and the mum responded, ” You speak in English and not in Yoruba!”
The current discourse going on in the country will make your stomach curl. The scandals, the allegations, the arrogance and the sheer impunity with which our Federal Lawmakers rub in their omnipotence brings nothing but sheer raw anger, bitterness and helplessness to everyone by and large.
Interestingly, while we may think its just up there, that sheer impunity has spread to all cadres of the society without fear nor favor.
Many people will wonder at this title, and for many more, it will strike a cord somewhere in the recess of their minds.
Hope 93, was the campaign jingle of the defunct SDP presidential campaign that fronted the late Bashorun MKO Abiola, who is regarded as the catalyst for the current democratic dispensation we now enjoy.
Its quite interesting the cultural bias and the chauvinistic way our so called law makers shot down the Gender Equality bill introduced on the floor of the house.
While I don’t have the full details of the bill, I feel the argument to reject the bill should be more intelligent than belligerent, emotional and tactless argument based on culture and tradition.
