We have often encountered difficulties and challenges in our journey in life. Be it career, relationships, family, name it….
We have experienced back-stabbing, slandered, maligned, betrayed, disappointed and what have you.
In the midst of it all, we have experienced victories, joys, breakthroughs, celebrations and just name it all…
As we kick off this month, and as 2021 wounds down gradually despite all events that transpired…it is time we take stock, and begin to plan towards the new year. You do not have to wait till the end of the year to start planning…the best time to plant a tree is now.
Do not let your environment determine how you behave…cultivate a positive behaviour that would stand you out in good stead. Do not pay attention to the noise of the market, rather pay attention to the goods and vendor you are trying to buy. That way, you are focused, like a laser and you will achieve your goals and objectives.
Nigeria may not be what we want it to be, there may be rumours of war, secession, violence, politicking, ‘japa’ to Canada, high cost of living and what have you…the fact remains, our destiny is in our hands to determine, define and set right. Do not join the noise of the spectators at the stadium throwing tantrum and not able to do anything…why not find your way to the sidelines and bench where you can influence does playing on the field and let’s start the journey to make a real change in our nation and destiny. Staying aloof and crying wolf won’t stop the wolf from hunting. Why not bait the wolf, take steps to trap and prevent the wolf from coming in to steal your sheep, and make a real difference than crying wolf.
Let us be positive and optimistic about this nation, and for once let us shame the drawbacks and failures that beset us round about, and forge a common identity that can lift us all up into a glorious new dawn where;
“…they shall hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks [so that the implements of war may become the tools of agriculture]; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Nor shall they ever again train for war. Each of them shall sit [in security and peace] under his vine And under his fig tree, With no one to make them afraid, For the mouth of the [omnipotent] Lord of hosts has spoken it.”
Micah 4:3-4 AMP
Happy New Month to us all!!!
