I sat down and am wondering what to write on this awesome day. Words fail me beyond measure as I look back over the last one year, and my heart wells with gratitude to God. For it had being Him all the day…yes all the way. I remember that conversation with my Pastor heralding your coming, we had waited quite a while and resolved to just trust in God for whenever he would gift us.

And when you did arrive, I was speechless in wonder at the bundle of miracle God placed in my hands, my heart welled in praise and gratitude and in fearful wonder of this bundle of joy. In the midst of it, I heard the music of Will Smith, Just the Two of Us;

“From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms

I knew I’d meet death before I’d let you meet harm

Although questions arose in my mind, would I be man enough

From the hospital that first night

Your smile lights up our World, your laughter…heartwarming.

Each day, I look forward to seeing your welcoming smile and watch as you display your antics   with your Mum. You are indeed a gift to us, God sent at the exact moment. You are indeed a testimony of and from God. It’s been a year of pure joy, gratitude and utmost thanksgiving to God. Adeoluwa-Demilade, you would fulfill your God-given destiny on earth. You would bring smile to people’s faces and be a source of constant joy to your world. You would excel, flourish and prosper in the land of the living, you will grow in wisdom and stature, and the Spirit of Jehovah, would always give you illumination and guide your way in life. As Parents, we would be worthy Stewards to nurture and guide you on the right pathway of life, to be role models for you to emulate, and be proud of, and to be willing vessels of God to nourish you. Amen.

And this is a special shout out as well to my October Born Folks, My Big Bro and his wife, Femi Aderibigbe aka Kwame and Dora Aderibigbe, my ever quiet and simple Big bro, Seyi Aderibigbe and Jesutofunmi, his Son. And to my home boy, Maiye Owonubi aka “gorimapa” and my home girl, Detoun Alashi who are Adeoluwa’s birthday mates, a big shout out to you guys…we are expecting the cakes and drinks for sharing that day with Chairman Dee!

Adeoluwa, in another couple of years, God willing when you would be reading this, know for certain (And i can see the smile breaking out on your face), that Mum and Dad loves you and will always do!
